Saying goodbye to Texas

Aviana was about a year and a half old when my husband and I decided to make a big decision to sell our house in north Texas and move to New Jersey.

When we moved to Mckinney there was not much there.  We picked that house because it was cheaper than the other areas we had looked at but it was newer.  My husband does not know how to fix anything so the newer the better was my thought process.  (Just keeping it real)

The cowboys ending up opening their training facility close to our home and the area suddenly got more popular and expensive.

I worked at home with my 3 kids while my husband was 30 ish minutes away working full time.  Let me just say, working from home is still a job, folks.  Do you know how many people think that if you work from home you dont actually work?  Im not sitting on my butt trying to sell fake weight loss products or telemarketing.  I work for a large corporate from my home.

When you work from home not do you watch people make messes, clean up their messes but you also hear the fighting that takes place between your kids, have to let the dogs out to do their business in addition to making sure everyone gets a home cooked meal!

Many times I worked with my boob out to keep my newborn quiet.  Its much easier that way.  Any noise and the boob made an appearance and I could work in peace.

I do enjoy the flexibility of being with my children and pets and making money for our household but it is not a walk in the park.  The problem my family encountered was that I was shouldering all the responsibility during the day and we had no help at night or on weekends because both of our families were out of state.  Date night?  Girls trip?  happy hour?  Pedicure?  My husband and I really could only rely on each other and we got tired of it.  We wanted to be the couple that could go on a date or stay overnight at a hotel and not have to hire a stranger to take care of our kids.

Our decision was that since our home had increased so much in value, we were going to move back to where his family was so that we could have some help.
